Industries we serve

Different processes, the same underlying discipline — correct sizing, clean panels, readable code and a commissioning plan that respects your production schedule. Below is where our Siemens hardware and control panels typically end up, and what each sector actually needs.

Where we work

Twelve sectors, one engineering standard

We do not claim expertise in every industry on earth. These are the processes our engineers have actually commissioned, and where we can talk specifics rather than generalities.

Textile & man-made fibre

Winders, draw frames, spinning and transport systems where tension control and precise synchronisation decide product quality. Typically S7-1500T motion, SINAMICS S120 multi-axis and Comfort Panels at each station.

Packaging & end-of-line

Cartoners, wrappers, case packers and palletising cells. Registration accuracy, fast changeover and safe access during clearing are the recurring problems — solved with servo motion and Safely Limited Speed rather than a total stop.

Food & beverage

Filling, blending, CIP and conveying, in washdown environments that destroy ordinary hardware. IP65/IP67 distributed I/O, stainless operator stations and recipe handling that an operator can change without calling an engineer.

Dairy & milk processing

Pasteurisation, separation, storage and packing lines where temperature control and traceability are regulatory, not optional. Historian and reporting matter as much as the control logic.

Pharmaceutical

Batch processes with audit-trail obligations. PCS 7 or PCS neo with SIMATIC BATCH, validated documentation, and change control that survives an inspection years after handover.

Automotive & ancillary

Assembly lines, press feeds, welding cells and test rigs. Cycle time and traceability drive everything, so RFID carrier tracking and fail-safe controllers on the same network are the norm.

Material handling & intralogistics

Conveyors, sorters, shuttles and AGVs. Decentralised drive groups with ET 200pro motor starters cut an enormous amount of power cabling, and industrial WLAN keeps moving vehicles on the network.

Water & effluent treatment

Pumping stations, dosing, aeration and remote sites. G120X pump macros remove much of the custom logic these duties usually attract, and SCALANCE cellular routers cover unmanned locations.

Cement & minerals

Crushers, mills, kilns and bulk conveying in relentless dust and heat. High-power cabinet drives, severe-duty motors and instrumentation chosen to survive rather than to look good on a datasheet.

Rubber & plastics

Extrusion, injection moulding and calendering, where melt temperature and screw speed stability determine scrap rate. Accurate temperature loops and main-motor drive control are the whole job.

Paper & converting

Unwind and rewind tension control, slitting and sheeting. Coordinated multi-axis drives on a shared DC link, with the regeneration from a decelerating reel feeding the rest of the machine.

Machine building & OEM

If you build machines for your own customers, you need a repeatable control standard, predictable supply and documentation your buyers will accept. We support OEM standards across a machine range rather than treating each order as a one-off.

The common thread

The sector changes. The discipline does not.

A dairy CIP skid and a textile winder have nothing in common as processes. What they share is that both fail in the same avoidable ways — a drive sized on nameplate rather than duty, an unbuffered 24 V rail, an improvised network topology, a panel that was never powered before it shipped.

Those are the failures we design out, whatever the industry. It is also why we would rather ask about your duty cycle and ambient temperature than send you a quotation the same afternoon.

  • Sized to real duty, not to the nameplate figure on the old motor.
  • Environment respected. Ambient temperature, dust, washdown and vibration drive the enclosure and IP rating.
  • Network designed, not improvised. Ring redundancy and managed switches that report into PLC diagnostics.
  • Safety that people will not bypass, using safe reduced speed instead of a total stop where it fits.
  • Documentation for the night shift, not for the file.
  • Spares planned around lead time and consequence of failure.

Your process is not on the list?

Tell us what it does. If we have genuinely done it before we will say so, and if we have not we will tell you that too rather than learn on your production line.

Not only Siemens

Other brands supplied on request

We are authorized for Siemens and that is where our engineering depth sits. We also supply industrial components from other manufacturers — drives, switchgear, sensors, motors, instrumentation and panel components — whatever the job or your own plant standard calls for. Send the make, model or rating and we will quote it.
