What this website stores, and what it does not
Four things, all of them small, none of them shared. This page lists every one of them by name. There is no tracking network behind this site, no advertising pixel and no third-party script watching you read it.
Three things we store whatever you choose
These are not a choice, because without them the thing you asked for does not happen. Declining cookies does not remove them, and no site can offer to.
Staying signed in
When you sign in, your browser is given a random token and keeps it. Every page then shows the cookie back to us so we know it is still you. If we did not store it you would be signed out between one page and the next.
Kept for: 30 days, or until you sign out.
Your enquiry list
The parts you add are kept in your own browser, not on our server, so the list survives moving between product pages. Clearing your browser data empties it. We cannot see it until you send the enquiry.
Kept for: until you clear it or send the enquiry.
Your answer to the cookie question
Whichever button you pressed is written down, so the banner does not appear again on every page. Recording a refusal is how we honour it — forgetting it would mean asking you the same question forever.
Kept for: until you clear your browser data.
Counting page views
If you accept
Your browser is given one more random number. It is not your name, your email or anything derived from your device — it is a coin toss we wrote down. It lets us tell that three page views were one person looking at three products, rather than three people.
Alongside it we record which page was opened, which site sent you here, and the sort of device you used — phone or desktop, which browser, which screen size. Cloudflare tells us the country and city the request came from, and the name of the network you connected through — usually your telephone or broadband company.
Kept for: 180 days, then deleted automatically.
If you decline
One thing is sent, and it is worth being exact about what. We record the word “no” and the time, in a table with two columns and nothing else in it. No number, no device, no page, no country — nothing that could be joined to anything or narrowed down to you.
It is there so we know how much we are not counting. If a fifth of people decline, our own traffic figures are a fifth short, and we would rather know that than quietly believe a smaller number.
The page-view record does not happen at all. If you accepted before and have changed your mind, the random number is deleted from your browser the moment you decline.
Kept for: 180 days for that one word, then deleted. Nothing else is kept.
If you have an account with us
When you are signed in and you have accepted, page views are recorded against your account, so our sales team can see which products you have been looking at before they call you back. That is the honest version of what every “visitor identification” product on the internet pretends to do for strangers: it works here only because you gave us your details yourself, and only while you agree to it.
Decline, and this stops too — being signed in is not taken as permission.
What we do not do
- We do not use Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight or any other third-party tracker. No script on this site is loaded from an advertising company.
- We do not store your IP address. Cloudflare works out the country and city at its edge and passes us only that. The address itself is never written to our database.
- We do not follow you to other websites. Nothing here is readable by any other site, and we have no way to recognise you anywhere else.
- We do not sell, rent or share your data with anybody, for any purpose, at any price.
- We do not try to identify anonymous visitors. There are companies that offer to match visitors against purchased databases and hand us names and email addresses. We do not use them and will not.
- We do not use dark patterns. Accept and Decline are the same size, the same colour weight and the same single click. Closing the banner without choosing is treated as no answer, not as consent.
Changing your mind, and getting your data
Change your cookie choice
You can switch at any time. There is no penalty and nothing on the site stops working either way.
Clearing this site’s data in your browser also works, and removes everything on this page at once — including signing you out and emptying your enquiry list.
See it, or have it deleted
If you have an account, you can ask us for a copy of everything we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete the account entirely. Deleting an account also unlinks every page view recorded against it.
Write to info@kn-automation.com or call +91 8939993819. We will come back to you within 30 days.
This page describes the website only. If you send us an enquiry, the enquiry itself is handled by our sales team as ordinary business correspondence and is kept as long as we need it to quote, supply and support what you asked about.
